Future Made Simple
ShopEase is an e-commerce prototype tailored for furniture enthusiasts. Designed to simplify online shopping, it combines modern aesthetics with user-centered functionality to provide a seamless browsing experience.
User Research:
• I conducted self-driven research by analyzing popular furniture e-commerce sites. This exploration highlighted the importance of a clean, intuitive layout that simplifies navigation, allows users to save favorites, and offers easy access to product categories.
Design Challenges:
• The main challenge was creating a visually appealing design without overwhelming the user, particularly with animations and product interactions. Ensuring each element supported a smooth user flow was essential.
Design Process:
• The process included sketching wireframes, developing prototypes, and iterating on design decisions. Key focus areas were an inviting hero section, easy product categorization, and a seamless checkout journey.
Usability Testing:
• Testing focused on refining interactions like favoriting products and adding items to the cart. Feedback led to adjustments in product visibility and button placements to make engagement smooth and intuitive.
Final Design:
• The final design presents a clean, cohesive user journey from landing to checkout. Organized product showcases and clear CTAs enhance navigation, while animations demonstrate seamless interactions.
Learnings:
• This project reinforced the importance of balancing aesthetics and usability in e-commerce design. The insights gained will inform future projects, with a focus on creating refined and user-friendly experiences.
